Meet Your Instructors

Anthony Daimsis

(he/him)

Anthony Daimsis, a professor at the University of Ottawa since 2003, directs the National Program (JD/LL.L) and Mooting Program. He specializes in advising governments, appearing before the Supreme Court and serving as an arbitrator in both domestic and international disputes. He also chairs the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Canada) and leads the Professional Certificate in International Arbitration.

Michelle Liu

(iel/they/them)

Michelle Liu is a Queer, racialized, non-binary, and neurodivergent lawyer, professional engineer, speaker, policy consultant, researcher, and uninvited third-generational settler on the traditional land of the Anishinaabe Algonquin Nation. With a focus on social justice, they leverage their experiences and expertise to drive systemic change. Michelle holds an Honours BASc and MASc in civil engineering from the University of Waterloo and pursued their law degree (Magna Cum Laude and Dean's Award) and engineering PhD simultaneously at the University of Ottawa.
